I lied ... oops!

"Night of the Leering Dead" won't be ready for tomorrow's show after all. I decided to do something different with it once I got going with the paint and it'll take a bit more time. I was initially going to do some fairly flat areas of color and then hit the lines with a darker color ... somewhat cartoon / comic-book like. It's now going to be a bit more painterly. Anyway, have a great night. I'll post the finished piece once I get it ready.

"Night of the Leering Dead" ... in progress

Here's a new piece that I'm working on and wanted to share. I'm calling it "Night of the Leering Dead". This is the initial pencil drawing that I'm about to start painting. This is blue pencil on an 11"x14" cradled wood panel. I'll have it on display tomorrow at the "John Betts 1st Annual Art and Music Fest" at The Oriental Theater. I'll have lots of other pieces for you to check as well.
