Studio upgrades

Yesterday I purchased a Cintiq 21UX. It's a 21-inch monitor that is pressure sensitive for drawing and painting. I've been using an Intuos tablet for the past few years and, while I like it a lot, it's going to be much nicer working directly onto the screen.

This morning I'm upgrading to Adobe Design Premium CS5.5. I also upgraded to the newest version of Painter so all of my digital tools will be the most recent ones. Oh yeah, I'm maxing out the RAM in my iMac as well to 16GB. The plan is to become more efficient and to put out a larger volume of even better artwork. That's the plan. Please join me in crossing your fingers. ;-)

I'm sure I'll be commenting on these new tools as I begin transitioning to them. The Cintiq has to be shipped to me so I have no idea what to expect on that front. Hoping it's going to be simple to set up.
